2nd Line+ IT Engineer (Welwyn Garden City MSP)
£28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum (Subject to Experience)

Due to continued growth, a role has been newly created for a further team member within my client's MSP near Welwyn Garden City. The role benefits from boasting a well-established team to support and mentor the successful candidate, providing a real opportunity for personal development and attaining the next level of technical expertise whilst delivering exceptional IT services to my clients’ customers. 

Working within a technical role for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider, the successful candidate should be at the mixed service desk and onsite level, yet unable to break into regular escalation and project delivery work; Perhaps having completed a limited number of Office 365 implementations and server migrations.

The successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MSP and be planning to achieve an MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools and technologies, such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure and Office 365.

The role will include working with and therefore requires experience of;
  • Server platforms including Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 & SBS (mid-level skills)
  • Desktop platforms including Windows 7, 10 and MAC Operating Systems
  • Active Directory, DNS & GPOs
  • Office 365 
  • Networking, switching, VPNs and Firewalls
  • Backup and Business Continuity including Datto
Although based at my clients' office near Welwyn Garden City, travel to customer sites in Hertfordshire, home counties and London is required in time, so a full, clean driving license and access to own car is essential. 

Finally, as the core link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, to represent my client’s business with professionalism whilst building trust and confidence with their customers.
