1st to 2nd Line IT Engineer (Yorkshire MSP)
£26,000 - £28,000 Per Annum (Subject to Experience)
A great opportunity to join an established family run Yorkshire-based MSP and advance your career delivering IT services to a well managed and appreciative client base.

Working within a technical role for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider (MSP), the successful candidate should be at the mixed service desk and onsite level, yet unable to break into regular escalation and project delivery work; Perhaps having worked on a limited number of Office 365 implementations and server migrations and looking for an environment in which they can develop with the support of the team around them.

The successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MSP and be planning to achieve an MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools and technologies, such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure and Office 365.

The role will include working with and therefore requires experience of;
  • Server platforms including Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 & SBS (entry level skills)
  • Desktop platforms including Windows 7, 10 and MAC Operating Systems
  • Active Directory, DNS & GPOs
  • Office 365 
  • Networking, switching, VPNs and Firewalls
  • Backup and Business Continuity including Datto

Although based at my clients' office bordering the southern tip of the Yorkshire Dales, travel to customer sites across Yorkshire is required from time to time, so a full, clean driving license and access to own car is essential. 

Finally, as the core link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, to represent my client’s business with professionalism whilst building trust and confidence with their customers.
