Service Desk Team Leader (Leeds MSP)
£31,000 - £33,000 Per Annum + Bonus + Funded Development Plan (Subject to Experience)
A rare opportunity has arisen within my client’s MSP business to lead their Service Desk team.

Leading the team will carry responsibilities including;
  • Identify and drive people, process and technology improvements
  • Reporting to peers including Operations Manager, On-site Escalation team lead and Projects team lead
  • Champion best practice adoption such as documentation, communication and performance standards
  • Manage and evolve team members through mentoring, weekly team meetings and regular 1-2-1s
  • Provide technical and practical escalation for the team
  • Own customer satisfaction, including investigations to complaints and onward improvement
The successful candidate should have worked previously within a similar role for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider, and aspiring to develop their career and skills by expanding their work experience to the next level. 

Additionally, the successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MCP and be planning to achieve an MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools and technologies, such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure and Office 365.

The role will include working with and therefore requires experience of;
  • Server platforms including Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 & SBS 
  • Desktop platforms including Windows 7, 10 and MAC Operating Systems
  • Active Directory, DNS & GPOs
  • Office 365 
  • Networking, switching, VPNs and Firewalls
  • Backup and Business Continuity including Acronis, StorageCraft and Cloudberry
Although based at my clients' office to the west of Leeds, occasional travel to customer sites in the surrounding area is required, so a full, clean driving license and access to own car is essential. 

Finally, as the senior link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, to represent my client’s business with professionalism whilst building trust and confidence with their customers.
