2nd Line IT Consultant (E15 School via MSP)
£28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum (Subject to Experience)
My Education-focused MSP client is looking to grow the technical delivery team to fulfil a new role based at a secondary school in E15.

The role offers the full spectrum of 2nd line tasks and responsibilities whilst benefiting from being part of a wider MSP team to mentor the successful candidates through to their next level of development, whilst delivering exceptional IT services to my clients’ customers. 

Already working within an educational environment fulfilling a technical role ideally for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider, the successful candidate is likely to have had experiences above their core level, however regular growth has been limited by current employer opportunities and work variety.

The successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MCP and be planning to achieve an MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools (including PSA, RMM and documentation platforms) and technologies (cloud, on-premise and hybrid), such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure, IT Glue, IT Boost and Office 365.

The role will include working with and therefore requires experience of;
  • Server platforms including Windows 2012, 2016 & 2019 (with Virtualisation)
  • Desktop platforms including Windows 10 and MAC Operating Systems
  • Azure AD, Active Directory, DNS & GPOs
  • MDM, Intune & Autopilot
  • G Suite primarily (Office 365 an advantage) 
  • Networking, switching, wireless, VPNs and Firewalls
  • Backup and Business Continuity
Although the role is based a single site (close to Stratford and Maryland stations) travel to customer sites in and around London and the South East could be required in time, so a full, clean driving license and access to own car would be an advantage. 

Finally, as the core link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, to represent my client’s business with professionalism whilst building trust and confidence with their customers.
