2.5 to 3+ Level (Contract) Technical Consultants (Guernsey MSP)
£200.00 - £250.00 Per Day Based on Experience + Travel & Accommodation Expenses
The successful candidate should have worked previously within a technical role for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider, and aspiring to develop their career and skills by expanding their work experience to the next level. Suitable candidates will  have onsite and project level exposure and be capable of delivering projects (such as security, server, storage, data & business continuity and Office 365 migrations). 

Additionally, the successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MCP / MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools and technologies, such as Autotask, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure and Office 365.

The role will be based at my clients' site in Guernsey (if you dont already live in Guernsey, check out locateguernsey.com to find out about living and working on the island and read on for 'selection process'), working as part of the technical consultant team sharing the full spectrum of IT delivery responsibilities to my clients' customers across Guernsey and will include working with and therefore requires experience of; 
  • Diagnosing and resolving IT issues with Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10, Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016 or other Support over phone, remote and onsite.
  • Implementation/Migration/Administration of Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 server including: Active directory, DHCP, DNS, NTFS permissions, DFS 
  • Implementation/Migration/Administration of security products such Firewalls, AV & Anti-Spam Solutions
  • Implementation/Migration/Administration of Office 365 / Exchange Server
  • Respond to escalated tickets and identify and implement solutions
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures & products
  • Create and update technical documentation and manuals
  • Manage and maintain internal and client backup processes
  • Plan and oversee projects

  4. Induction/Initial project based on project pipeline and candidate availability
Finally, as the core link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
